I am the first Dalai Lama of Tibet, which is a Buddhist leader of religious officials of Tibetan Buddhism. The name ‘Dalai Lama’ literally means ‘ocean chief.’ I am believed to be the rebirth of a long line of spiritual leaders who have chosen to be reborn in order to enlighten others. I was born in 1391, in a small town, called Gyurmey Rupa, in central Tibet. My parents are Jomo Namkha Kyi and Gonpo Dorjee, who delivered me in a cowshed and named me Pema Dorjee. I do not know of my brothers and sisters, since I left home at a very early age. Until the age of seven, I was a shepherd, until I joined the Nartang Monastary. I took my apprentice vows from the abbot of Nartang, Khenchen Drupa Sherab, in 1405, when I was fourteen years old. When I was twenty years old, I received the name Gedun Drubpa when I took the vows of a fully ordained monk. Also around this time, I started studying with Tsongkhapa, a great scholar and reformer. In addition to this, I became the abbot of Garden Monastery, which was founded by Tsongkhapa in 1409. After this, when I was visiting the lake Palden Lhamo, the guardian spirit of the lake promised me “…that she would protect the reincarnation lineage of the Dalai Lamas.” Since then, it has become a sacred tradition for monks to travel to this lake and meditate. I founded two major monasteries, Drepung and Tashillhunpo in 1447. Although I am very important to the religious world, I hold no political power. Such power goes to the viceroys. I died while meditating in 1474, when I was 83. I am not afraid of death, and am glad that I got to die in such a peaceful manner at such an old age.

GROUP 1: Buddhist Wellness Group
- EXPLANATION This group discusses Buddhism, Mental Wellness, and the relationship between these two elements. I joined this group becuase I am a well known Buddhist leader. The people who formed and joined this group probably find me very important. I also share the same religion and views as these people.

GROUP 2: The Daily Enlightenment
- EXPLANATION This group sends out Buddhist messages and teachings every morning, for the people in this group to read and ponder. It is appropriate for me to join this group becuase I am a Buddhist and would appreciate having these messages sent to me as well. I am very interested in Buddhist teachings seeing as I am a huge icon in the Buddhist community and have established many of these teachings myself. I am also very interested to see how my religion has progressed since my death in 1474.

GROUP 3: Religious of Buddhist Myanmars
- EXPLANATION Although I am not from Myanmar, I am a Buddhist leader. However, I am only educated in Tibetan Buddhism. Therefore, I am very interested to see the differences between what I know about Buddhism and their Buddhism. I hope that thier version is not desecrating the name of Buddhism all over the world, becuase that would not be good.

GROUP 4: Land of Medicine Buddha Dharma Group
- EXPLANATION This group is about a center devoted to developing a good heart. Guests can relax, connect to their spiritual inner being, recharge and recover from the strains of life. There are many religious objects on their land, and shrines with exquitste Tibetan artwork. This seems like the pefect place for me to take a vacation and meditate.

GROUP 5: Milis Buddha
- EXPLANATION This group is for people to share ideas, knowledge and experience on the Teachings of the Buddha and their practice in daily life. This seems like the perfect place for me to foster my spiritual wisdom and enlightenment. I also like that anyone joining this group must maintain the spirit of Truth, Righteousness, Peace, Loving-Kindness, and Non-Violence. This is just like the monastery where I spend most of my time.

GROUP 6: James Hilton- Primarily for Lost Horizon
- EXPLANATION This author, James Hilton, wrote one of my favorite novels, Lost Horizon. This book is about a monastery in Tibet. This applies to me because I lived in and founded many monasteries in Tibet. Also, Tibet is the area that I spent much of my life in.

GROUP 7: The Divine Ground of Being
- EXPLANATION This group is all about meditating and the pleasures it can bring you. I mentions how meditation is the soul's Portal to the Divine, a Doorway to God and the Heavens that are within. I meditate all the time and even died while meditating at the age of 83. This group may be a good place for me to get and offer advice to people about techniques of clearing your mind and accessing your inner self.

GROUP 8: Peace on Earth
- EXPLANATION This group is also about mediating. Peace on Earth is the name of a place where people can come and meditate and enjoy the 'peace on earth'. Meditating is how I relax and connect to my inner self. This seems like the perfect place for me to do some deep thinking and ponder the teachings of Buddha.

GROUP 9: Forever Brad Pitt World

GROUP 10: PBS Kids Surprise
- EXPLANATION This group is about PBS Kids, a group of childrens television shows that are aired on WHYY. I enjoy waching many of the shows featured on this channel, such as Arthur, Caillou, and the Berenstein Bears. I feel that they teach children good morals, just as Buddha taught me. I hope that by joinig this group, I will be able to communicate my feelings about the beneficial experience of watching these shows.

QUIZ 1: What Kind of Novel are You?
- RESULTS Classic English Novel
- EXPLANATION A classic English novel means that my rules are simple, and if ignored the results are complicated. This describes me very well, because the religion that I stand for, Buddhism, is based on the simplicities of life, and how important they are. If the peace of nature and other simple things in life are ignored, the results could be catastrophic.

QUIZ 2: What Type of Doodle are You?
- RESULTS People (faces)
- EXPLANATION This means that I like learning new things, am smart and kind, and work hard for what I want. I study people, watching their reactions and body language, and have a lot of determination. This perfectly describes me, because in my monastery, I have to observe my fellow monks because they are like brothers to me. If something is wrong, I feel that it is my duty to understand what they're going through and make them feel better.

QUIZ 3: Which Feeling are You?
- RESULTS Misty Secrecy
- EXPLANATION Misty Secrecy means that I'm a very secret type of person, an observer. People want to find out more about me which leaves them fascinated. People respect me and know not to mess with me. This result applies to me because of the secrecy surrounding Tibetan monasteries, as described in Lost Horizon. Also, the belief that I'm a reincarnation is a topic of fascination for many Buddhist followers.

QUIZ 4: Are You a Caring Person?
- RESULTS You are a very giving person
- EXPLANATION This result is pretty self-explanatory. It means that I am always there to help someone out. I am very reliable and I am always wherever my friends need me. The whole point of my religion is kindness and generosity. I belive in not being greedy and helping others who are in need.

QUIZ 5: What Type of Weather are You?
- EXPLANATION The result 'Snow' means that I am a graceful and elegant person, and also kind. I have a quiet strength, and bring joy and happiness to many. While I see the world for what it is, I tend to be optimistic. What I do makes a difference, and the effects of my kindness will make them impossible not to notice. Seeing as I am the Dalai Lama of Tibet, and a huge religious icon for Buddhists, people do notice the effects of my kindness. I do tend to be optimistic, because that is how I reach my inner self when I meditate.
